The B950 valve from NP Medical is a pressure-activated one-way valve. With a pressure resistance of 330 psi (22.8 bar), the check valve is ideally suited to prevent the mixing of fluids injected at high pressure, for example in the injection of contrast media for MRI and CT, where a dual-piston injection system is used. If the B950 valve is used in the line carrying the saline solution, it prevents the contrast medium from flowing back into the line carrying the saline solution and mixing the fluids within the system. The valve is sealed with a pre-stressed silicone diaphragm, which allows the pressure-initiated flow in one direction only. The valve has a low filling volume. Its transparent housing provides a clear view of the flow. It is lipid-resistant, latex-free, DEHP-free and solvent-free. A durable, ultrasonically welded assembly ensures the integrity of the product and the liquids flowing through it. The valve is tested during the manufacturing process.
