Founded in 1985 in the USA as a manufacturer of blades, Cadence today employs over 575 people and is a full-service provider for metal and plastic processing of medical components as well as an industry leader in CNC grinding of metallic blades. Join us "behind the scenes" of our new partner: In the first episode, we introduce you to blade manufacturing at Cadence.The company, now known as Cadence, Inc. was founded in 1985 under the name Specialty Blades and went on to develop high-performance, razor-sharp cutting blades to meet growing customer demands. Today, Cadence develops blades for the world's largest medical device manufacturers, as well as custom blades for numerous minimally invasive and other surgical applications. A special, multi-stage process, which is carried out by a programmable CNC machine, ensures maximum precision in the shaping and sharpening of the blade. This process enables the use of strip materials that go far beyond the conventional steel range. Unusual and unique edge configurations are therefore no problem for Cadence - perfect for OEM manufacturers of medical products who require customized blades.
