The new ISO standard 80369 "Small diameter connectors for liquids and gases in medical applications" will replace the Luer connector as a universal connector and specify separate standard parts depending on application to avoid confusion between different areas of application.ISO 80369-7 regulates conical connectors with a 6 % (Luer) cone for syringes, cannulas and certain other medical devices in intravascular or hypodermic applications. MedNet will offer ISO 80369-7 compliant connectors with connectors for common tubing sizes as pluggable and adhesive connectors. In addition, MedNet already offers ISO 80369-compliant connectors and end caps for enteral feeding (ISO 80369-3), connectors for non-invasive blood pressure measurement (ISO 80369-5) and for neuroaxial applications (ISO 80369-6). The material used is transparent and lipid-resistant. Colored versions can also be produced on request. The connectors for enteral feeding are available as connectors for tubes from 5F to 10F and for flexible tubes with 1/8" (3.2mm) inner diameter or as end caps.Materials: ABS or polypropyleneConnectors for non-invasive blood pressure measurement are available as connectors for tubes with inner diameters from 3/32" (2.4mm) to 3/16" (4.8mm). Materials: ABS or polyamide (nylon)These small and lightweight ISO 80369-6 compliant connectors are easy to clean and offer maximum comfort of use. The available materials can be easily bonded with solvents and are approved for use in medical applications . The female connectors are equipped with wings for comfortable handling, and the male connectors also have a non-slip attachment.
