MedNet is expanding its extensive portfolio of color-coded syringes with a BPA-free version made of copolyester. TritanTM is a thermoplastic polyester from the US manufacturer Eastman Chemical, which is produced without bisphenol A (BPA) and without the addition of halogens and is used instead of conventional polycarbonate. The material is characterized by high transparency, even after sterilization with gamma rays, electron beams or ethylene oxide without material discoloration. The high chemical resistance of the material allows the use of many different medications. Tritan is ideal for use in medical technology, also due to its good resistance to ageing, stress cracking and lipids. The syringes are available in seven different colors and complement the proven product line of color-coded syringes made of polycarbonate (PC). Both versions are available in sizes 1 to 30 ml, with Luer Lock and Luer Slip and with CE marking.
